Join us for a fun and creative Sunday morning of ribbon work embroidery, an ideal class for beginners and seasoned stitchers alike.
During the workshop, expert stitcher Katherine Savage from the Treasure Kave will teach you the basics of ribbon work, how to create beautiful flowers using straight stitch, inverted stab stitches (aka ribbon stitch), lazy daisies and french knots – all of the ribbon work essentials to get you started, plus many tops tips.
With each stitch, you’ll practise on a separate piece of fabric before moving to the lovely linen with a pre-printed design.
You’ll be given a full kit, including all of the needles, ribbons and threads needed to finish your design, together with step-by-step instructions. You’ll also have the links to Katherine’s pre recorded videos.
You’ll leave with a beautifully hand-stitched piece and the confidence to start your own embroidery projects at home!
We’ll also be serving hot drinks and homemade cake to help creativity.
