As a wonderful introduction to the world of sewing, this relaxed 3 hour class will take you step-by-step through all the stages of making your own lovely personalised bunting.

No experience of machine sewing is necessary at all.

Expert teacher Cornelia Costeanu will first of all introduce you to the basics of using a sewing machine – how to wind on a bobbin, thread the machine and sew in straight lines.

You will then decide which fabrics to use to make your very own unique bunting (or feel free to bring your own), before being taught how to cut out the fabric and complete the process of sewing up your bunting.

More experienced sewers will have the opportunity to embellish their bunting further, to allow them to develop and extend their sewing skills.

All necessary materials are included in the cost of the class, as are refreshments. No need to bring your own sewing machine either, though if you do have one it’s a very good idea, as you’ll then be learning on the machine you’ll be using at home after.

This class is also great for children from 10 upwards (age 12 and under need to be accompanied by an adult).

Cornelia is a very experienced and well-known instructor, having been teaching sewing to both adults and children for over 10 years. With a degree in interior design, she is passionate about recycling, vintage fashion and is rather addicted to her sewing machines (currently owning 7!).
