10am – 1pm
United Response, Teddington
This is the perfect workshop for those of you who’ve learnt the basics of crochet, but now want to take your skills to the next level.
We’ll be working on a simple project that uses a variety of techniques and also teaches you how to read a pattern with confidence.
During the class, you’ll be shown how to avoid wonky edges in your work when crocheting in the flat, how to crochet in the round with a magic ring, increasing and decreasing and changing yarn. You’ll also learn how to count stitches and rows proficiently and how to read your own work.
Attendees should be confident in holding the yarn and hook and know the basic crochet stitches (chain, double crochet, treble and half treble).
We’ll provide the yarn for the crochet project, but please bring a 4.5mm hook with you.
Lots of coffee, tea and home made cake will be served to help the learning process!
The workshop will by led by Suzanne Strachan, knitting and crochet expert and talented knitwear designer.
