Finishing Techniques for Knitters

Sat 20th Mar 2021
2 – 5pm

Online via Zoom

Love knitting but feel frustrated that your work lacks that professional finish?

This informative online workshop will teach you a range of invaluable techniques, from mattress stitch seaming, picking up & knitting stitches, to creating button holes and learning how to block your work.

Please prepare 5 x 10cm square swatches using a smooth double knit yarn – 3 in stocking stitch (RS row all knit stitches, WS row all purl stitches), and 2 in garter stitch (all rows in knit stitch). You’ll also need a ball of smooth double knit yarn and a pair of 4mm needles (straight or circular), a tapestry/sewing up needle and a stitch holder.

Suitable for anyone with a basic level of knitting ability.

The workshop will be led by expert knitter, designer and yarn consultant, Suzanne Strachan.

‘fantastic course, very well taught – will certainly be signing up for other courses’
